The Consulate General of Greece in Sydney announces the availability of a local position for a seasonal employee who will be engaged to support the section issuing visas under a fixed term contract which will expire on 31/12/2016.

The applicants must be:

  • over the age of 21 and under 60 years of age

  • permanent or temporary residents or citizens of Australia and be residing in NSW

  • holders of a degree or diploma or other tertiary qualifications or be a student of a tertiary educational institution

  • fluent in the English language – both written and spoken and

  • possess excellent computer skills

Any additional qualifications, e.g. knowledge of the Greek language, knowledge of the French language, previous work experience in a similar position, availability for work outside normal work hours, familiarity with the international environment will also be taken into account.

Applications by the candidates should be accompanied by a detailed curriculum vitae and copies of the required documents and be submitted by 4.00 pm on Wednesday 27th July, 2016 at the Consulate General – Level 2/219-223 Castlereagh St, Sydney NSW 2000 or to the email address

The applications submitted or email correspondence should be marked “NOTICE OF POSITION” and any communication arising with the General Consulate should be conducted exclusively through the email address

The applicant will be selected by the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Athens based on the curriculum vitae and the rest of the submitted documents.
