with the Australian Hellenic Educators Association NSW-ACT-QLD
invites you to a seminar
Greek Cafes and Milk Bars in the NSW Classroom
Sunday 21 August 2016 at 4:00pm
Join documentary photographer Effy Alexakis and historian Leonard Janiszewski, as well as primary and secondary educators active in the state and independent education systems in New South Wales for an afternoon exploring the pioneering roles played by the Hellenic Diaspora in transforming the dining landscape in Australia since the 1800s.
The focus of the seminar will be using this amazing resource in the primary and secondary classroom, particularly in the Year 9 and Year 10 Australian History, Year 11 Modern History and HSC History Extension courses.
