Donations of $50.591 from AHEPA NSW INC


AHEPA Hall continues to play key roles in the cultural life of the Australian Hellenic community. Between July 2018 and December 2019, AHEPA NSW INC has made donations and sponsorships out of its own resources amounting to $50.591 for different philanthropic and educational causes.


  • Clemton Park Public School for the Teaching Hellenic via Tablets project $10.000

  • Variety Club the children's’ charity $5.000 Hellenic Theatre Week 2019 $3.719 Saints Constantine and Helen Orthodox Church Welfare Centre $3.000

  • Book about persons from Kastania Naupaktias $2.397

  • Canterbury Boys High School $2.000

  • Newcastle (formerly Hamilton) Olympic FC $2.000

  • OEGGA (Childrens’ Cancer Institute) $1.500

  • Australian Association for Byzantine Studies $1.500

  • AHEPA Prize for Modern Greek, Macquarie University $1.000

  • The Hon Mark Coure MP Biggest Morning Tea fundraiser for cancer research $600

  • Anzac Memorial Hyde Park $300

During the 2018-2019 Financial Year, the Chapters and Committees of AHEPA NSW INC donated as follows:

  • Chapter Antigone $5,400

  • Chapter Anatole $4.000

  • Education Committee $3.800

  • Chapter Ippokratis $1,700

  • Chapter Diogenes $1.200

  • Chapter Platon $750

  • Chapter Prometheus $525

  • Chapter Chiron $200


To these must be added the use of AHEPA NSW’s facilities – without charge – by various community groups: the RSL (NSW) Greek Sub-Branch, the Australian Hellenic Educators’ Associationοn, the Australian Hellenic Choir, the AEK Supporters Club of Sydney, the Music Lovers Association, the International Friends of Nikos Kazantzakis Society and more.

To these should be added the costs of the free events held at AHEPA Hall and elsewhere under the AHEPA NSW banner, the Centre for Poetry and Literature «Kostis Palamas», the Kafeneion (seniors group) and other branches of the organisation, illustrating the broad range of activities and sponsorships AHEPA NSW INC provides.


In 2020 AHEPA NSW will develop even further into a key Hellenic cultural hub in the Antipodes. We hope to see you at an AHEPA NSW INC during the year. Merry Christmas! Happy New Year!
